New Castle Water Damage
Accessibility
People often reach this site during a stressful situation, sometimes on a phone, sometimes with a screen reader or keyboard alone. We want the phone number, the guidance, and the navigation to work in all of those cases.

Our aim
We build and review this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We use that as a practical benchmark for making the site usable.
Accessibility work is ongoing rather than finished. We do not claim certification or legal compliance, and we do not claim that every page meets every criterion at all times.
What is in place
- Keyboard access. Links, buttons, menus, and expandable sections can be reached and operated with a keyboard in an order that follows the page. A visible focus outline shows where you are.
- Skip link. A "Skip to main content" link is the first item on each page, so keyboard and screen reader users can bypass the header and navigation.
- Landmarks and headings. Pages use header, navigation, main, and footer landmarks, with one H1 per page and headings that descend in order.
- Descriptive links. Link text describes its destination rather than relying on "click here" or a bare URL.
- Images. Photographs carry alternative text describing what the image shows. Decorative graphics and icons are hidden from assistive technology so they do not add noise.
- Contrast. Body text, headings, and phone call buttons are reviewed against 4.5:1 contrast for normal text and 3:1 for large text and interface components.
- Text sizing and reflow. Text uses relative units, so browser zoom and larger default font sizes work. Pages reflow on narrow screens without intended horizontal scrolling.
- Works without JavaScript. Navigation, frequently asked questions, and page content remain readable and usable if scripts do not load.
- Motion and color. Animation is minimal, respects reduced-motion settings, and instructions do not depend on color or shape alone.
- Media. Nothing on this site plays audio or video automatically.
If we add tables or media later
The site currently has no data tables, audio, or video. If we add them, tables will use real header cells so assistive technology can announce rows and columns correctly, and published audio or video will include captions or a transcript where appropriate.
How we check
Alongside automated checks, we review pages by hand: tabbing through each page with a keyboard, confirming heading and landmark structure, checking contrast values, viewing pages at narrow widths and at 200 percent zoom, and reading the page with images and scripts disabled.
Known limits
Some pages link to third-party sites, such as published cost research. We do not control the accessibility of those sites. If a link takes you somewhere you cannot use, tell us and we will describe the information over the phone.
If something does not work for you
The fastest route to a person is the phone. Call 765-615-4599 and we will answer your question directly, whatever the website is doing.
To report a barrier, email [email protected] with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. That detail helps us reproduce the problem. We aim to respond within five business days and to fix confirmed issues as quickly as we reasonably can.
Alternative formats
If you need information from this site in another format, such as read aloud over the phone or sent as plain text, ask us and we will provide it at no charge.
